Just off the busy highway south of Fort Worth, Texas and near the
sleepy town of Abbott, lies the resting place of many retired fuel pumps
that, in their day paved the way for travel and commerce along the
highways of Texas. Cars now speed by on sleek new freeways, but
these colorful machines are collected with passion and put out to
pasture with care by a local merchant. They give quiet testimony to the
variety found in these cultural icons.
